Important things to know BEFORE putting in an application to join Camp Haven.
We are a drug-free facility, and we do not allow weapons, firearms or ammunition for firearms.
If you are applying as a family unit, you must fill out an application for every member of your family.
Every person that comes, creates more work.
We ask that you be part of the community by working 13 community work hours per month, including a minimum of 1 hour per month of washing dishes. This is required of every person over 18 years of age.
Evaluations are done at 3 weeks and every 3 months of residency to show progress toward making a life beyond Camp Haven, and also to keep residents on track of their goals.
We accept one animal per person or two animals per family unit. We ask that you have your animal spayed and neutered. You will need to fill out a animal application for every animal.
In our Qualification process, we cross reference every application for sex offenders and violent crimes. Violent crimes are not an automatic disqualification; we do take into consideration the nature of that offense and we will ask more questions.
All communities must have rules and guidelines, and here the most important ones are our 1 strike rules. Violating any one of them will result in immediate eviction. They include:
-
No persons are allowed on neighboring properties without permission.
-
Theft will not be tolerated. If you want to borrow something, you must have permission beforehand.
-
Illegal substances are not allowed.
-
No firearms or ammunition for firearms.
